About Us
The Global Federation for Spiritual Healing is an Association run under the Trust named International Association for Ayurvedic Healing Arts. The Trust promotes the ancient Indian system of healthcare called Ayurveda. The Trust mainly focuses on promoting the philosophical components of Ayurveda, that is the holistic health care and wellbeing concepts as based on the Vedic Scriptures. Ayurveda is composed of the following Sanskrit words Ayur, meaning life and Veda meaning wisdom / knowledge. Ayurveda is a comprehensive philosophy dealing with all aspects and facets of life ranging from nutrition to life style - briefly it incorporates all deeds, actions, thoughts and outside influences impacting on our senses and thereby directly affecting our health and wellbeing. Ayurveda is said to date back more than 3500 years and has supposedly been discovered by Rishis and developed through observation and trial over many decades.
The decision to incorporate the Global Federation for Spiritual Healing was driven by the perceived need to contribute to the promotion of Spiritual Healing by setting standards regarding the content and quality of training. The founders' endeavour is to enhance the image and reputation of Spiritual Healing and related therapies by promoting a comprehensive and extensive training curriculum, combining theory, practice and self-exploration.
The Trust and GFSH have been set up under national Indian Legislation as practiced in the state of Bihar. The Federation has 7 founding members and a director as well as advisors, who are involved in assessing membership requests and setting standards for training schemes.
